An interactive installation awarded First Prize by MIT at the Pi Bot Competition for its innovative, precise design. Featuring an electrically powered mechanism, it set a metal ball in motion within a circular structure, striking rods to produce rhythmic sounds before landing on a drum surface. Conceptually, the design embodied the infinite, cyclical nature of π, with the diameter reflecting its value and the motion symbolising its unpredictability and order. The project seamlessly integrated form, function, and theory, transforming mathematics into a multi-sensory, poetic design exploration.
