This project explores sustainable design through a sensorial fragment made from algae and bioplastic. Inspired by the organic form of Biotope, the piece reflects on humanity’s relationship with natural materials and primitive life forms.
By integrating dissolvable bioplastic pouches filled with algae and water, the installation invites hands-on interaction and observation, creating a small “eco-sea” that highlights the environmental benefits of algae and its role in reducing CO₂.
Mirrors enhance the visual depth, while suspended smoothies from a metal mesh roof introduce a playful, multisensory layer, transforming the structure into a space that is both immersive and educational.
